The Minnesota Holistic Medicine Group was created by Bill Manahan, MD in 1989 and was later co-chaired alongside Carolyn Torkelson, MD starting in 2000. In late 2024, WeCare acquired the MHMG and it is now co-chaired by Christa Rymal, RN, MSN|Founder and CEO of WeCare and Melissa Conway. 900 Number of Minnesota practitioners from a wide variety of disciplines who have partnered with MHMG. The MHMG has grown from 25 members meeting in each other's living rooms to the need to rent out office space or retreat centers to conduct its quarterly meetings.   3 Number of goals of the MHMG: 1. Give holistic practitioners the opportunity to meet members of their “tribe.” (Connecting with healthcare practitioners who have a somewhat similar world view about health and healthcare.) 2. Learn from practitioners from ALL healthcare disciplines. 3. MHMG meetings take place quarterly throughout the year, with varying topics of interest pertaining to holistic and integrative health.
